Jayrah once won Making the Band, but there were issues. Now he is now working hard to become the next American Idol.

You gotta love Twitter. I met Jayrah one of the American Idol hopefuls, while tweeting my followers and Jayrah said hello. I asked for an interview and he set this up right away.

Jayrah preaches that you can do great things if you put your mind to it and set some goals. 

Jayrah is very active in social media on Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, Sound Cloud and many other channels, to get out the word and build support for him on the show.

Randy Jackson says that Jayrah is “Mad Good”. He is also known as a very

upbeat and exuberant guy and Jayrah says he has been asked to tone it down, but Jayrah is passionate and sincerely excited and you can tell from this interview. Even after a full day in the studio Jayrah is excited and full of spunk.

His mother being the leading lady of the many hit musicals and dramas and also touring around the world with icons such as TD Jakes “Women Thou Art loosed,” Tyler Perry’s “Diary of a Mad Black Woman” and Oprah Winfrey’s Broadway musical “The Color Puple” left him with some big shoes to fill. Nevertheless those great accomplishments set the tone and opened many favorable doors for Jarah.

With passion, humbleness and talent, Jayrah is well capable of trail blazing a path of his own. His dynamic voice and sultry songs has pierced the hearts of many, making an everlasting impression on the who’s who and what’s hot in the industry! Jarah’s main goal in life is to share his love and passion for music with the world.

Professor Ann Lee teaches Economics and Finance at New York University and at Peking University as well as being a Senior Fellow at the famous Demos Think Tank.

I have to commend and thank Professor Ann Lee.

I double booked our appointment confusing PST and EST. My wife told me I would do this eventually.

I had my main phone line shut down so I had to do the interview on my cell phone while a Verizon tech fixed my main line and he wanted to give me progress reports all during this interview.

I know little about China compared to Ann so I had to edit out several very stupid questions.

All in all Ann was a trooper and stuck with me even though she had an appointment with CNN right after our call.

Ann please except my apologies for I know this was one of the rougher interviews you had to do this week. Also thank you for your brilliance and insight on these matters.

We are no longer headed towards becoming a global economy. We are well entrenched in it now.As a nation, we have to learn the truth about our world and other nations and open ourselves up to possibility.

We cannot, as a country, grow out of our current situation by coddling our uneducated, lack minded fear about the other guy. Instead we must take the risk to lean into our fears and embrace all the world had to offer and teach us. – JW

Adjunct Professor NYU and Peking Univ. Senior Fellow Demos

Ann Lee focuses on issues of global economics and finance, and is writing a book on U.S.-China relations.

A former investment banker and hedge fund partner, she is a frequent media commentator on economic issues. I got a chance to be interviewed by Bob Bare of Bestselling Experts about building organic SEO. I have built many sites and have proven that I can get traffic to the site. I am now working on proving that valuable, inspiring, educational content will get you there faster than content for the sake of content.
What I see many doing is finding interesting stories and linking to them for content. This can work and has done well for many, like AllTop and a few others, but I believe people really are looking for something they cannot find somewhere else.
I just started JW On Purpose and hope that this will prove my point.

JW Najarian

JW Najarian was born in Sacramento California in 1958 and grew up in beautiful Lake Tahoe California.

Growing up in Lake Tahoe gave JW appreciation for nature and at one time he contemplated becoming a naturalist with the forest service. After spending two years with the Youth Conservation Corps, as a student and then teacher he joined the Navy.

Wanting to get training in electronics, he failed the color blind test and was sent to Yeoman school where he learned about military office management. Before his school JW volunteered as a human research subject for the Navy and spent three years stationed in New Orleans at the George C. Marshall Space Center as a test subject for acceleration, deacceleration research. With his office located in the Saturn V test cell, he worked as a research assistant to Dr Robert S. Kennedy and also as an operator of the main computer system that ran and collected data for all the testing.

After the military JW enrolled himself in electronics classes at ITT and got a degree in electronics. He had not forgot his dream of learning electronics and wanted to use that knowledge to hopefully work in music production.

That never happened as the economy tanked in the late 80’s electronics jobs became scarce and JW relied on his knowledge of computers to support himself.

JW worked in the field of computers, electronics and networks till around 2006 when he got the bug to change careers and choose commercial real estate as his new direction.

Again the economy turned sour and commercial real estate got hit hard so JW decided to try marrying his knowledge of businesss, marketing, social media and computers with his new found knowledge of commercial real estate and started the Commercial Real Estate Professional Investors Group (CREPIG) in a quest to help the ailing industry recover by finding may lost funding resources and deals.

CREPIG now has around 12,000 members worldwide and has led to JW co-founding The Commercial Real Estate Distressed Assets Association (CREDAA) which is helping educate CRE professionals in underwriting and learning more about how to handle deals in this distressed market.

JW On Purpose came out of the fact that JW was doing many interviews of CRE industry leaders for his sites and wanted to expand to other markets outside of finance. JW now does interviews with authors, speakers, thought leaders and sometimes celebrities about various subjects, focusing on cause and purpose.

Many of the movers and shakers out there are interviewed about what they do to make money and we want to know that, but we also want to know what causes they support. The world can only shift if we do our part and JW On Purpose wants to focus on helping businesses and leaders with their efforts to help support their philanthropic projects and concerns by spotlighting what they do and who they help, both in business and the community.

JW does many interviews of authors, especially on books with cause and purpose, great story and ones that are educational about the world, finance, business and self development.

Lisa McCarthy and I used to work in the Information Technology industry together.  She had a regular 9 to 5 job and then I gave her a book called the Millionaire Mind by Harv Eker.  OK so it looks like I am claiming being the catalyst for rise to success. Maybe, but I think there was already something there that led Lisa to want more. To want to be an entrepreneur.

I first saw Liz on Empire Avenue. Yes it is an Internet game, but although I do not do Mafia Wars or Farmville I love EAv because it tells you about your reach on social media and reminds you where you need to put more work and how you are doing on many of the different medias. I talk a lot about inbound marketing which is all about offering valuable content so targeted leads come and find you via word of mouth, or search engines etc., but you do have to use all the tools in your tool chest and email is one of the most powerful outbound marketing you can do besides cold calling.

What is Social Media?
And Why does it have it’s own week?

Social Media Week started here in Los Angeles at the vLounge in Santa Monica, CA. A very noisy networking mixer of social media gurus, marketers, networkers and media experts.

Social Media is a term that is a bit hard to define by many of the professionals in the field. Are we talking about the media itself, word, video, audio, graphics? Are we talking about networking, marketing? Social media as a term, seems to now encompass the complete realm of web collaboration; social networking, social marketing and social media…

I just found out about SMW from my new friend Rey Ybarra. Thanks Rey. I do not have the whole scoop yet, but I have a week to figure it all out.

What I got from the opening party was that this event is going on simultaneously in the following countries and that it is the second year for the event.

Guests at last nights event were a very diverse set of social media experts and others that need social media help. Many I spoke to that had been to last years event, thought that last years event was good and this years is already better and the newbies to the event seemed to have clear goals to network and work at forming alliances and JV’s.

Others just want to know more about the where, what and why of social media.

Here was my pitch:

Q. What do you do?

A. I consult with businesses to help them use Twitter.

A great short pitch right? I would say it and get little or no response. “Oh that’s great! Which way to the cheese platter” or “I don’t know how to use that Twitter thing yet”.

Ann told me about the Lizard or Old Brain and how it needed to hear what it wanted or it would shut down and put into hibernation, the conscious brain.

We took my pitch and changed it to…

At first I said sounds great… then I used the pitch. Most everyone replied with Really! How do you do that?, Can you do that for me., Wow I could use that service., Wow, I have a friend that really needs that…

The difference in response was night and day. Ann has hit on something really basic and useful and you have to listen to this recording because Ann goes into detail and shares over twice as much as she shared with me during that first meeting.

I recently met Julie at LeaderShift 2020 as I was trying to get a picture taken with Mark Victor Hansen. The picture did not turn out, but I did get to talk to a very nice person while I waited for Mark to finish speaking with an associate.

This was Julie Viskup, who I quickly found out, practiced Non-Profit law. Since I have recently been involved with building an association and starting a non-profit, I was very eager to talk to her. We were both going separate ways so we traded contact info and went on our ways. It was only a few days later that I spotted Julie at the Tapping the Source movie premiere.

Networking Fools Media was on had in collaboration with The Legacy Broadcast Network as media to interview and take pictures of the stars, authors and everyone associated with the film Tapping The Source.

Tapping the Source is a book by William Gladstone, Richard Greninger and John Selby which discusses using the Master Key System. This system takes off where other books leave off by giving you a system for achieving your goals.

Tina Loza – Legal Guide to Intellectual Property In the New Internet Frontier

For Intellectual Properties Laws. It is very much wilderness, fraught with pitfalls and few, if any signposts.

If you have followed along with the various reports, blogs and articles, and there have been thousands of them; a few things stand out; the lawsuits against Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter.  And while those lawsuits are working their way through the courts, through appeal after appeal, the rest of the Internet world waits and hopefully, learns.

But those cases will take years. The judgements will likely be complex and although they will set precedents and stand as guide markers, social media and Internet commerce must go on.

Being prolific networkers, avid social median participants and budding entrepreneurs, we just couldn’t wait until all of the maps were drawn, so we searched for a guide.

We spoke to, or had correspondence with a few dozen attorneys, all of whom were extremely professional and on top of their game. However, because the field is so relatively new, only one law firm, that we could find, had the combination of knowledge, experience, and expertise in the type of Internet law that we were looking for.

  • your life circumstances are unstable
  • have excessive family or peer pressure for success
  • complain about lack your of authority
  • have a roommate named Bubba

Ok, now take it easy, that last one was mine. These are red flags only!  This is obviously, somewhat, tongue-in-cheek.  However, I believe it’s usefulness is that, in general, an understanding of the behavioral characteristics of white collar professionals – those who may be most vulnerable to cross the line, will be helpful to you in your career.

What an incredible event that almost no one went to. I am not sure if it was the marketing or if people are just giving up? Actually I visited another event later in the evening at UCLA at Royce Hall and the event was a sell-out so I have to believe it is marketing.

Especially now we need to get together with other like minded business people and entrepreneurs, because we cannot expect different results from doing the same thing over and over.

Many of my colleagues give me a hard time for going to these events, but I not only owe my life to my mentors, but owe my growth to allowing myself to be open to being on the learning line of my life.

I was really lucky to find out from my good friend Lisa Schneiderman, that another event was going on at Royce Hall, UCLA campus. After getting the chance to say hello to Les Brown, and Garret Gunderson, I got a chance to meet Kevin Harrington who you may know from Shark Tank. This guy has sold over 4 billion dollars worth of products and discovered Billy Mays. This is a guy I am guessing you would like to get the chance to spend a minute or two with. I got to sit down and watch someone pitch him a product and then got my picture with him. Nice guy.

I took off to Royce Hall, but got there late so I missed Deepak, but did get to see many others speak to conscious Evolution. An incredible program.
