Watching the story of Travis Mills, the veteran that lost all four limbs in Afgananistan, who has kept a great attitude as a man, a husband, a father and a patriot, makes me so proud of our US Veterans. Whether or not they were on the front lines or in positions of support. Whether or not they paid the highest price or not, we need to reflect on their necessary contribution to our freedom.
Freedom as a reality and as a concept is so important for us to fight for. There is no religion or political stance that can keep us from all wanting the best for our families.
It is about the dream and hope this country keeps alive for ourselves and the rest of the world.
You don’t have to be in the military to honor freedom and our independence. Believe in freedom. Live in tolerance of others and know that by sticking up for everyones rights you are doing your part.
What does Independence Day mean to you?
